The lint works begin in the tumble dryer. I select the colours, materials and the order of the textiles. Heat, friction and the spinning drum break the fibres loose from the textile. Hot air sucks them onto the lint screen. The screen fills up. Images form. Each one made by the destruction of what it records. Some arise from almost automatic chores, whilst others result from deliberate loads. Lint starts fires. It burns fast.
